Giant Media made key improvements to Geelong Event Centre’s (GEC) website, designing a user friendly interface allowing editors to easily create and edit event and conference packages and upload iconic moments to their gallery, and other listings. The new build redefined the Rydges event and conference segment for Victorian, Northern Queensland and Christchurch markets. The creative agency developed a communications and content strategy to drive engagement and awareness of the event centre’s exceptional service, event and function space in addition to their delicious catering. The new website showcases exceptional visual and video content, connecting clients with appetizing eats and catered concepts, including the integrated customer enquiry form, menu and venue functionality and events guide. The brand enhancement and design upgrade includes RSS feeds onto social media, providing a platform for cross-promotion and a place to promote events, messages and further enhance GEC’s brand awarenes, generating conversation in a hyper local environment.
The digital partnership between Rydges Hotel & Resort Group and Giant Media has been successful in allowing Geelong’s Event Centre to penetrate the South-West Victorian market segment, helping our client to bridge the gap between their online and offline engagement.
